The engineers at Unison Research chose a balanced pure triode valve amplification stage (2xECC 82 valves) and a high quality 24-bit/192kHz Crystal digital to analogue converter. The  CD mechanism has a sophisticated control microprocessor – the Unico CD uses a 64kb flash memory which allows personalised display on the backlit LCD display window.
